The 5+1 Residence Coordinator is the organization that represents the families of residents of public residences in Catalonia and is made up of people united around a common goal: ensuring that their seniors live with dignity in these centers. The major problem is that the lack of public administration oversight over the companies that manage the residences means that the elderly are living in conditions that fail to guarantee the minimum standards of hygiene, medical supervision, care, and treatment.

The plan consisted of creating a digital communications strategy aimed at creating a social movement supporting the cause through social media.

Social networks:

We chose Twitter as our primary channel both for its proven ability to mobilize and for its potential to impact its target audiences, who are highly present on that platform.

Training:

Several digital training sessions have been held for members of the coordinator, including social media management and digital communication tools.

Website creation:

The Coordinator's website is geared toward building a social movement in support of the cause: it provides all types of content aimed at journalists, related organizations and institutions, and the general public, providing a deeper understanding of the problem through rigorous and verified documentation and graphic resources.
