I work in innovation in communication and digital strategy, and I conduct research on artificial intelligence and the role of humans in technology governance. I specialize in the digital transformation of organizational communication and in AI adoption in the media.
I hold a PhD in Media, Communication and Culture from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with a doctoral thesis awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize on artificial intelligence, communication, and human-centered governance.
Since 2019, I have been contributing to the creation of a scientifically grounded framework for the responsible adoption of AI in communication—an effort considered internationally pioneering. This work has led to various outreach initiatives and applied policy projects that have helped guide industry practices. Among them is an ethical code for the responsible use of AI in journalism, published by the Catalan Media Council in 2021.
My research work, which I present in this book, highlights the key role of human beings in guiding technology, analyzes the role of AI in the communicative sphere, and proposes solutions for technology governance based on the principles of ethical communication, with the aim of putting it at the service of a digital public sphere governed by democratic values.
This work has been presented in national and international forums such as Columbia University and the University of Amsterdam. This page features some of the highlights.
I am part of the team leading the adoption of artificial intelligence at Catalonia’s public media, as well as a member of 3Cat’s Responsible AI Advisory Committee (TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio). I have delivered training on AI in the media and responsible adoption to teams at Prisa Media and 3Cat, among others.
In the field of organizational communication, I develop communication plans, content strategies, and dashboards for analytical performance monitoring. I currently work on projects integrating AI into organizational processes. I also build specialized, multidisciplinary teams to carry out digital projects—websites, analytics, communication campaigns, content strategies, visibility initiatives, and digital positioning efforts.
I am deeply committed to the idea that all of us—individuals, institutions, and companies alike—have a duty to help build a better society. I believe communication is a key tool to make that possible.
I’m passionate about new media: I love exploring their languages, learning them, and using them. But few things bring me more joy than meeting inspiring people and having meaningful face-to-face conversations.
I chose journalism as a profession to help give voice to those who need it most. I care deeply about social causes, especially those aimed at promoting opportunities for the most vulnerable.
I contribute to this purpose through both communication and research, raising awareness about the political and social impact of technology and advocating for a humanistic cultural leadership in technological innovation.
