NEW WEBSITE OF THE CATALAN MUSIC MAGAZINE

The Catalan Music Magazine needed to redesign its website. Its main objectives were to be more in tune with its print edition, reach new audiences, and enhance its print edition online. To achieve this, the media complement each other: print provides the experience of in-depth, leisurely reading, while the website allows users to follow up-to-the-minute news and complement the print information with multimedia formats: videos, Spotify playlists, and image galleries, among other offerings. Two media platforms to reach more readers and respond to the different ways people consume information depending on the current situation.

The print magazine provides a novelty factor every time it is published and covers the sensory experience that online publications cannot: the design of the paper itself, the feel of the pages, the smell of the ink, and a leisurely read.

The Internet is a more appropriate space for addressing breaking news and using multimedia formats, which integrate so well into a music magazine. Print, on the other hand, is more suitable for long reads when you have time and peace of mind.

The RMC website now has greater visual consistency with the print edition while also highlighting information published only in the digital version.
